Newborn photoshoots take place in our purpose built studio in Dromore, Lisburn.

Capture the precious moments of your baby before they grow out of their sleepy curled up stage.

The prime time for your newborn photoshoot is when your baby is 5 - 14 days old, when their bodies are most flexible. To ensure your photoshoot takes place in this short time frame it is best to book in as soon as possible after your 12 week scan.

 

However,  it is never too late. I offer my newborn photoshoots for babies up to 9 weeks old as some poses are still possible and a gallery of beautiful images is always achievable.

A newborn session can take 2 - 3 hours allowing for feeding, cuddles and nappy changing. The session is very relaxed, I move slowly and gently through poses and prop changes so baby is comfortable and  not rushed. The studio is heated to 22 - 26 degrees Celsius, to keep your baby warm and comfortable. 

Your baby's safety is priority in my studio. I use a selected few poses that are natural and comfortable for babies. But every baby is different, no pose or photo is worth distressing a baby so I tailor each photoshoot to suit the baby on the day. Every prop is carefully selected and I invest in the best posing aids for your baby to be safe and secure when placed in them. 

Sessions begin with slow transition posing on my beanbag station, this includes wrapped and unwrapped shots. I then move on to posing the baby in props, these props are safe, weighted and are always at ground level. If requested, sibling and family photos are taken at the start of the session. Babies can be unpredictable, if your baby is slightly unsettled on the day the order of shooting can change. If your baby will not settle at all and capturing photographs is not possible, I will reschedule the session.

I offer a pre-session consultation via phone or email. Clients choose from my colour palette prior to the photo session, this allows me to have the studio set up and ready for clients arrival.

I sanitise every surface in my studio after each clients session. Any wraps, fabric backdrops or clothes used during a shoot are washed in non-bio detergent after each use.
